Matter in Motion
Time does not flow, it settles. It stratifies, compresses, leaves traces in matter. This series stems from the need to arrest the passing of things: to translate time in becoming into historical time, visible, tangible. Matter is the instrument, a mixture with body and depth, shaped by hand to evoke organic surfaces, subsoils, forgotten strata. The palette follows the beauty of the earth: chromatic, never arbitrary. The circle is the form that contains all of this. Cyclical movement, continuity, infinity. Whole or fragmented, it rests on the surface as a living trace, a sign of a deep bond with the generative forces of the universe. Not a representation of time. A sedimentation of it.
